I'm just giving up on eggs. The brats are never going to start laying. We're heading into winter and they are going to quit laying before they even get started. It'd serve 'em right if I ran power to the coops and installed uber-bright lighting to mess with their little systems. Hateful little birds...
HA, Lauralou! The coop kitties can longer even get close to the chickens. As I watched one poor little kitty try to get through the coop door to get some water, Robin the EE fluffed out all her neck feathers, growled and popped him hard on the head. Poor kitty baby! They are both staying well away from all things chicken. I knew it wouldn't take long!
Thanks for the compliments, Scrambled! I got a new camera this summer that lets me zoom right up on them, which is good because they run in terror from the scary camera.
