Transitioning to a new coop

We recently moved our 4 hens from their original, too small, coop to a new one. This new coop is farther away from our house, but it is much bigger than their previous one. However, the hens did not seem very happy last night in their new surroundings. Should we have transitioned them differently. All four are 4 month old astralorps who really love it when we are outside and with them, so I'm worried that they feel so isolated now! I'd like them to be happy so they will start laying soon!!!

When i move birds I keep them locked up in there new coop or locked up in a mobile run connected tot here new place. Give them a few days and they will be as happy as they were before the move.

That's how I moved mine to their new coop. They'll settle down soon.
