*Transmutation Of The Second Stone*
You are an alchemist. You can draw a certain mark called a transmutation circle on the ground and with a clap of your hands form any object you like from the ground. But nothing can be made without giving something of equal value. There is two taboos in this art. You can not transmute dirt to gold, and the ultimate taboo; human transmutation. It is against life itself to try to bring back the dead with alchemy. But there is one way to achieve transmuting without giving anything in return. The Philosopher's Stone. Many would do anything for this priceless jewel. But it was destroyed by those who found out it's dark secret; the only way to create a Philosopher's Stone is sacrificing hundreds of human souls. Only the darkest people would attempt this, it takes a giant transmutation circle and extreme skill. Some say the stone can successfully bring back the dead. But some may wonder what happens if you do preform human transmutation without the stone. If there is two people, the cost will be a body, an arm, and a leg. during the transmutation one of them will be taken to the 'door'. A giant stone door in a white endless void. They will meet a white figure that will show them the world's secrets, but only once. What ever they tried to bring back will be a horrible, mangled creature that will die within a few moments. The one who lost their body can be saved by binding their soul to an object such as a suit of armor. When only one person commits the taboo, more valuable things will be taken such as organs. After they attempt the taboo they can transmute without drawing the circle, which is extremely rare. If they did lose limbs they can be outfitted with automail prosthetics, a robotic arm connected by the nerves. But many do not choose automail because the connection of the nerves is extremely painful.
A group of people are now going to attempt creating a philosopher's stone, planning on using a huge city. You live in this city. They start to slowly set marks and small connecting transmutation circles around the huge city, it will take a year to complete. Few alchemists know about the scheme. But those who do are trying to stop it. Can you help destroy the circle, defeat the makers and save the city? Or will you perish and be part of a philosopher's stone itself?
