transporting 6 month old chickens

I'm new (as of last nite) and don't know where to put this question!
I am picking up 4 six month old chickens tomorrow and transporting about 60 miles (one hour drive). What is the best way to contain them for travel?

A good size box will do, and well as a pet carrier.

b.hromada has a good suggestion. I know how you feel about not knowing where to post a question sometimes. I would put this under Managing Your Flock. You will get the hang of it. We all had to start sometime.
