Transporting Chickens ??

I need to move about ten 17 week old pullets monday morning the temp. here will be around 45 deg about a 2 hour ride i have two large dog crates plastic with wire fronts would 5 birds be to many per crate they are 27" wide by 40" long

I think for a couple of hrs., it would be ok. I think the wire fronts on the crates would be facing aft. The birds will go through a transition period.
