I have somone giving me 5 coturnix quail tomorrow. He's bringing them to work in the morning, but they will have to stay boxed up gor 10 hrs. Any pointers?

Are they going to be traveling for 10 hours in a box? Or will they be delivered to you and then have to sit for 10 hours?
If it is the first one, suggest they be put in a cage with water and food. If it is the second one, you can bring a large cage to put them in and add food and water.
Birds should not go 10 hours without food or water. They have a very high metabolism and the stress can kill them. They are too young to go so long without food or water.

Luckily he brought them in a cage. They have to sit in my office for 10 hrs. I did bring food and water. So we are good. They don't seem stressed at all. They are hanging out resting quietly.

Well there finally in there 2ft.x 8ft. home. They seem to be enjoying it there singing to each other.
