I caught a small skunk in my trap this morning. How do I go about moving it without being sprayed???

A tarp or large plastic sheet works.
By the wayIt will likely still spray.

Oh great! Well hopefully with a plastic sheet I won't get nailed with it. This is not going to be fun. I'll run down to the hardware store as soon as it opens to get a roll of the plastic painters use.
Ahhhhhh!! Get thicker!!
Home depot 6mil HDX!!!! You can see through it and it is much harder to tear.

Even a blue tarp is better than painters tarp.
Good luck!
That the little stinker keeps it to itself.
We've never had one spray when trapped, not that it couldn't happen. Use a tarp, as mentioned, between you and the cage, move quietly, and drape it over the cage. Then move it to where you can shoot it, right by it's new underground resting place.
If you release it, make sure you follow your DNR's directions. Here, it's either on the same property, or private land in the same county with landowner permission.
