I cant tell you how many times Ive picked stuff up off the curb. I also travel with some clippers. I stop at places that are cutting down pine trees and cut me branches for my goaties.

As a fellow Trash Picker I just have to say I cant wait til spring for the local "Big Trash Pick Up Day" I always end up witht ons of cool crapp.. You have to be ready thouogh cause they are other TPers just waiting to steal what youa re running for.. Yes I live in a Redneck Town.. BTPD is like a national holiday around here.. Ever seen 6 rednecks ion the back of a truck all runnign for the same entertainment center.. Its a HOOT

We built all our coops out of wood, chain link and chicken wire left in the desert. This is a great place for dumping stuff.

My "chick introduction cage" was a former ferret cage found at the side of the road with a free sign on it. My coop windows were free salvaged and helped determined my coop design. I was going to pick up that upholstered easy-boy chair to put in my deer stand but the Missus stopped me on that one.

I would not be ashamed of grabbing that, not at all. I know a lot of people that have to buy displays and let me tell you they are not cheap. That was about like finding tree or four hundred dollars laying in a parking lot if you had to go buy something comparable. this to use it as a display. I can't believe what stores will just toss out because it is not worth any ones time to put an add on craigslist. But lucky for you.
