My chicken is last one of a small flock that was killed by predators. She had recently started laying but now has stopped since the horrible event. It will be a week today, no eggs. Is this normal? She is an austrolorp.

My neighbor had a hen that was the lone survivor and she did the exact same thing. she eventually started laying again.

So sorry! Could also be the time of the year.My 4 are laying less. I have had hens inside in a dog crate. Is that an option till you get more hens? It isn't bad if you clean right away.Longest I had in rehab was 2 months.Started laying after 3 days inside.
