We wondered if anyone has shipped flightless geese and a duck via airlines? We rescued these sweeties and have found a new wonderful ranch but it is in the next state over. To fly them there it will be an hour long flight. Can anyone advise us on shipping these birds? Is it recommended or has anyone had problems?

You should ask with the airline as well as check with the department of agriculture in the state you are moving to. There are generally specific regulations that must be adhered to when crossing state lines with poultry. A health certificate from a vet (or something similar) may be required (just as it is to fly dogs and cats).

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I have heard of some outfits that help transport rescue dogs and fly them for free but wouldn't have the first clue on how to find such an organization or if they would or could fly the ducks and geese. Good luck though!

Good advice. Also you may want to post in the duck forum.

:welcome

It's nice to have you here! Sorry, I have no ideas other than the ones already suggested. Hope it's not too difficult to do so the geese and ducks can get to their new home.

Best of luck!
