Traveling while chicks are young

I have some 2 1/2 week old chicks and my husband wants us to visit his family this weekend. He'd like to stay 3 days, 2 nights. I can't see how I can leave the chicks that long.

He said we could go just Saturday and Sunday if need be.

Would you be comfortable leaving chicks for two days?

Other ideas? It's four hours away, so taking them along would be too stressful for them I think.

I wouldn't be comfortable with it unless I had someone coming in at least once a day to check on them; preferably twice a day.

Yup, once a day check up. The safety of the heatlamp alone makes me wary.
