Where can I buy a treadle feeder, I saw one in magazine under grandpasfeeders but I don't really want to pay $100. does anyone know of another source?

Thanks

I see them on eBay

Try their..I think they are around $60.00

Don't quote me though
Wink wink

Shoot I thought about getting one I bet will one day

I saw the link to woodworking plans for the feeder - I could build that - also makes me think ! That kind of mechanism could also be used to close up the coop when the chickens are on the roost! Then when they jump down in the morning, the door to the run would open! (anybody else think like me?)

You can find them on ebay, but at $100 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...829521&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1159wt_907), I don't think the quality of the materials is worth the price. Of course if wild birds and mice are eating a lot of your chicken feed, it wouldn't take long to pay for itself. I made one that would cost less than $35 if you had to buy all the materials. Lots of people probably have enough scraps laying around to make one for free. You can find the link to my page with instructions on how to build one in my sig. It really isn't that difficult. Good luck!
