This morning she seemed a little better believe it or not. Could that stuff work that quick?????? still rhaspy but I think her eyes were brighter and she seemed to have a little bit more strength.

It is really good stuff I'm pretty impressed with it. My hen showed improvement the next day and in a couple days back to her old self. Fingers still crossed she continues to improve.

My Permelia sounds like she has the same stuff as your MayMay.... off to the feed store I go and I hope it works that fast on Permelia! Please keep us updated!

I hope you have Permelia isolated if it is Respiratory disease it is very contagious. And they will always be carriers. Do you have her on anything real dusty or cedar or Pine shavings? Most people don't have problems with pine but some do. I'm really sorry your dealing with this.

Injections are easy. You turn the bird over on her back and lay her on your lap. You want to give the injection in the breast muscle. You just look for the breast muscle on either side of the keel and behind the crop. Dont use a very big needle, try a u100 (the pharmacist at your local CVS can dispense these without a prescription) for under 50 units. These are insulin needles and the needle is very short, it would be almost impossible to make the injection in the wrong place and it will hurt less, chicken skin is sensitive and delicate.

Yes, I use pine shavings in their nesting boxes and I have since they were one day old chicks. I think their ventilation is very good too. Poor MayMay and Permelia. : (

that is what I was going to do was to get the short needles and do the injections. I 'chickened' out and got the 200 and did it oral.

Second day and dose and it really seems to be helping MayMay. she's busting around but not full speed yet. Eating great, poop looks almost 100%, still sounding like she has larangitis, and still little hard to breath. I took her for a 4wheeler ride a few times to keep her with the others so she didnt have to walk when they were free ranging.

You know, she likes the 4wheeler rides. LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
