Not too sure that frozen stuff hurts dogs all that bad either. I had a Golden Retriever whose favorite winter snack was running out into the yard and scarfing down on poopcicles. And you can figure that out without me defining it, I'm sure.
Me neither..actually read up on it once long ago...and found moderation
is the key.
A few ice cubes won't hurt them, but don't let them quaff down a quart of ice water....would make me sick too.
My chickens eat snow all the time even tho they have fresh
warm water in the coop all winter.
I don't give the chooks melon anymore, loosens the poop a bit too much.....plus
I want to eat the 'meat' of the melons.
But I do cut out the seed pack, then cut out the 'meat' for me, then put the seed pack on the rind and freeze that tidy little package for a chook treat on a hot afternoon.
Works great, no fruit flies in my kitchen and the chooks love it...actually freeze all fruit and veggie scraps in the summer, for the chooks
and because of the fruit flies.
