So I wanted to ask how to treat Angel Wing Syndrome in ducklings?
It looks like I might have a case. I'll try to post a pic later.
And I realize there won't be total agreement on this because the other threads didn't agree on if it was caused by excess energy, or by excess protein. And the other threads had people only discussing, 'Oh gosh, thank goodness its not me!' and 'Its not me right?'
So I needed to do a threat to only talk about treatment.
It seems like I'll have to look at 2 possible treatment methods, one based on if its energy based, and the other if its protein based caused.
I think it does look like a lot of it could be protein related, though I'm not saying that's the only variable. It could totally be based on several things.
Will treatment work just by reducing the protein in their diet a lot?
And are there any people here who successfully treated it and got it fixed in their ducklings before they got big? And what would these people with recovery cases have to say? Thanks. (And also will giving them more exercise space outside also possibly help with a fix, since if its excess energy,...and the one of mine that looks like it might have it, hasn't had space to run around yet. But this wasn't my fault, I was trying to keep him alive.)
