Treating scaly leg with ivermectin

One of our chickens- our rooster (Mr Spot) has been developing scaly leg in the past few weeks. We now have 1% ivermectin solution. What can somebody advise on how to dose them, and how often should we repeat the use of ivermectins?

We have 11 chickens and all are bantams.

We also have some malathion, is that suitable for treating the condition (as a leg soak)?
