Just gave another 300ml fluids and 800mg metronidazole.

Update - She is much better today! Will give more fluids, Safeguard and metronidazole.

Today is day three of Safeguard and metronidazole and she looks almost perfect.

Hello,

We got last year some Turkey,chicken and peacocks. They are all our pets.
every thing was fine until today I found our 1 year old turkey male on the floor
of our horse barn.

He was not moving and though Im might have lost him. But thanks god he was
still alive. But the was burning hot.

As of now i have taken him away form the group and taken him into the house where
im trying to get the temperature down with ice. it seems to be working...he seems more
animated (but still barely moving). Also, I have given him some vitamins and stress reducer.
While doing that I saw that he as a lot of slime/mucus in his beak.

Further, I called all the avian vets near us. there are few and all about 2h away.
No one was giving us any information.


Please help. I do not wish to lose him. he is very dear to us.

his poop is very liquid and yellow and yes I actually just added the dewormer yesterday in the feed
