Qwackers went out into her house today

I have spent the whole morning and afternoon watching her get acclimated. I was shocked to see Raj hissing and nipping at her through the divider. I may have jumped to conclusions when I said that it was Indie that had scalped Qwackers. I just assumed because Indie had nipped at everyone while the were in the tub, and that he had a white feather in his mouth that it was him. Now I am not so sure. Anyways, Qwackers figured out that she couldn't stand too close to the wire otherwise Raj would nip at her.

So far she is enjoying the outside. Every once in a while she will take off running, it is SO cute! I'm considering letting her stay, but I'm not sure. She is about 90% feathered, it is 81 degrees here today and sunny. Tonights temps are supposed to be 66 degrees with a 30% chance of rain. I have her house set up with shavings, she has her water tub and plenty of food. I will be back at work about 8am tomorrow.

I'm TORN...

Your runs look really well built and Qwackers my gosh how big. They haven't seen her in a while either right? you may never know who actually did it what you saw today may have been protecting what they think is theirs. The only thing I'd be worried about is the fencing looks like a mink. weasel or something else could easily get to them especially if they laid close to it or by it. They have alot of room to run around in there that's for sure.

I hadn't realized how big Qwackers was until she was standing next to Indie and Raj. She is the bigger duck for sure.
I had to settle for that wire after someone stole my lumber and I had to start over. The perimeter has 16 gage chicken wire over the whole area, with another layer of field fence (dog wire) over the bottom 3 feet. My yard dogs take care of any small animal that wanders onto the the property. Any squirrel, possum, raccoon or cat that comes onto the property has a death wish. I had to be sure to dog proof it though, obviously they have a high prey drive.

It's great to see updates from them.  You lighter colored of the darker duck looks like he's getting a green bill, which would mean boy.

I'm not really sure of boys or girls with any of them. This is my first time with ducks, their voices are changing but I haven't heard any real quacks yet. One minute I think I hear raspy, the next not so much. I guess I'll figure it out eventually; -)

Qwackers came home with me last night. We're headed back over to play now. My plan is to let her play outside today, bring her home again tonight. Then, outside for good tomorrow as long as the weather cooperates.
I will have to figure out another method for giving her vitamins. I'm thinking about a drop of nutri drench on a piece of bread each day. Putting it in her water would be a waste, that stuff isn't cheap.
