Treating Wry Neck In Crested Duckling *EDITED TITLE*

Thank goodness you found the niacin, and that she is drinking it. As for the peas never give ducklings anything other than their mashed crumbles unless you give grit along with it. Hope you see a big improvement quick. and keep her with the other 2, unless they are walking all over her, I just think she'd be too stressed to be separated. Also keep track of your temp in your brooder at their age the temps should be between 80-85

Thanks Miss Lydia. She seems to be doing better walking this morning. She is eating and drinking. I'm staying home today to keep an eye on her. I've got to get them, and the chicks, set up in a bigger brooders in the garage. But first I have to clean and organize my garage, it is a mess!

I'm going to start my chicks on the Brewers yeast today. I'll continue the niacin water for the duckies until Qwackers is better, then brewers yeast for them too.

I'm wondering if swim time in the tub would be helpful, or not. Maybe it's like physical therapy? Just seems the less active these little guys are when sick the more apt they are to die.

I feel that time in the tub is therapeutic for waterfowl. And I would continue to do as you do, helping dry off a little, getting them into a warm brooder immediately.
X2! and very relieved to hear she is doing better,

After researching ALL day I have settled on a treatment for Qwackers. I am giving her 3 drops of Polyvisol without iron twice a day. It has all of the vitamins that she needs in one medicine. I have ordered the Mazuri Waterfowl Starter feed, and found someone local to give me enough to get my 3 babies by until it gets here.

When giving the polyvisol stop the quick chick. You don't want to overdose on certain vitamins.
That's what I would dpnatbleast, maybe someone else has done it and knows it's safe, but from my perspective: better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the info. I had taken the niacin water away and went back to the quick chick water.

I just wonder about my other 2 healthy babies not getting the benefits of the quick chick. What do you think?
Separating them is not an option, they stress too much when one is away.
