Treats suitable for 8 wk old chicks for kids to hand feed

The kids were doing great teaching the chicks to sit on their knees and be patted by bribing with grass and chick weed. We have just increased their little outdoor run and now those aren't treats any more because they have plenty to choose from themselves. Chook food isn't exciting enough with all the grass either.

Any suggestions for something the kids can have to feed handfuls of when playing with them to keep them wanting to jump up on their knees for it?

when ours were little they just loved mealworms. we would get a container at the wall mart in the fishing section. that would last about 3 feedings, if you rationed them out.
