treats

I wish I was that lucky. My spoiled guys will only eat their treats out of a feed pan filled with water! It blows my mind how each duck owners experience can be so different. I guess as far as the treats go, it truly is a trial and error type thing until you find what your birds really like.

While we're on this topic of treats, when you guys give watermelon, do you remove the seeds? I usually buy seedless but hubs bought seeded this time and I don't know whether or not they can eat the seeds....

Unfortunately my guys are scared to death of any food that’s red- Anytime I’ve tried to give them watermelon, strawberries, even the red pieces of cat kibble will send them waddling away in wide eyed fear! I wish I was joking!! I didn’t even think ducks recognized colors? :idunno

i love all the different ideas do you peal the cucumber mine like water emlon and have has to chop up tiny as i think my dukkies are only 5 weeks old lol

Watermelon I wouldn't think you'd have to chop since it's soft. I usually cut them into 4ths since I have so many birds that way everyone gets some. Cucumbers get sliced down the middle and set out only my chickens will eat them.
