TREATS!!

Y'all are so lucky! Mine won't eat "guts" of anything - melons, squash, cucumbers, etc. Heck, they won't even eat the good parts. They do love pineapple, berries, grapes, apples & tomatoes. Wish they did eat my veg waste! Just keep in mind whenever you give "treats" you're diluting the macros of their feed. They don't overeat like humans!
COOL! Ive never tried to give my birds the guts of vegetables so I wouldnt know..:gig

I give scratch grains, veggies, herbs, and occasionally I cook oatmeal for them in winter, I'll even make them pasta because I spoil my chickens or pop them some popcorn. They adore grapes of any color but seem to really like the green variety, and I also give them almost anything: watermelon, strawberries, pears, apples, nectarines, tomatoes, and a bazillion of other things I can't remember right now. Of course, my chickens are so spoiled they usually turn up their noses to veggies like lettuce and other leafy greens, though I found hanging it can sometimes encourage them to eat their salad before their dessert, lol

Hhmm some spoiled chickens there!!! :gig

Mine don't care much for rice--at least the type of rice I have.
But they go mad for watermelon. It disappears so quickly! I gave mine 2 small slices and they ate them up in a couple of minutes, rind and all.
Mine like watermelon too, except Dorothy and Jenny. I guess I can’t call them babies anymore, they are almost sixteen weeks old! They will peck at it a little but leave most of it.
