Treats?

Anything.

There's yogurt, raisins, just about any fruit, or even homemade stuff. . . The list honestly can be endless, it depends on what your chickens usually eat and usually don't get to eat.

Wait, read that wrong - Depending on chick's age, it can be yogurt, mealworms, crickets, . . . By the time mine reach a month though, they can have almost anything.

Shredded mozzarella cheese. Hard boiled egg, finely chopped. Grapes cut in half. Mealworms. Live crickets. Cooked peas.

They SHOULDN'T be getting egg shells before they are old enough to lay eggs! (Around six months old.)

Is there a rule of thumb as to how old they have to be before you start them on treats? I just got my chicks today and was told they were day old chicks. Wait a week or so?
