Treats?

What type of treats should I give my 2 week old chicks? Any ideas would be great.

Some give no treats until the chicks are older. I gave mine pieces of chopped up boiled egg. Mine had also sampled worms by around that age. You will want to sprinkle a little grit over their feed (or offer a little in a separate container) once you begin giving treats.

Now that they're 2 weeks old, try some mealworms. And stand back! They'll go crazy, running around the brooder with their prizes!

I don't like to give treats until they are at least 6 weeks old. If you do give them treats make sure they have access to chick grit or they can't digest it. At that age if you really want to give them something of a treat, you could mash up a boiled egg or tear up the center of a piece of white bread. Even a little spoon of plain yogurt can be good too.
