I saw onions and chives to and I replanted them today.

I make a delicious fruit coctsail with veggies mixed in.

strawberries, peaches, pears, plums, apples...ETC with sliced green bell peppers, okra, peas. They love it

Quote:Got me thinking now too. I don't know whenever my flock got out of their pen the first thing they attacked in the garden was the onions. Never saw any negative effects and once in awhile threw them a bulb. I've never given them more than that except for the times they made little Houdinis out of themselves.

Quote:I think I'll try that with mine. I used to make them a sorta slop of oatmeal, bannanas (smashed), scratch, honey, layer crumbles, sliced apple, and some sugar (brown and white) just before the laying season or when they slowed down which seemed to help them lay.

At what age can you start to introduce treats into a chicks diet?
