A Red Bishop is a small passerine. Prefer wetlands and grasslands. Native to Africa around the equatorial region.

This is a male red bishop ... I pulled this pic off the web. The females are dull gray, but I still think they are beautiful.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me this spring. It cost me a female ringneck dove. Happily, the bobwhites and the ringneck pheasant stayed in. Haven't got any pens under trees now...
