Tree in Our Run- How to keep dry?

Hi Everyone, We have a large tree in the middle of our run. The rain has started and we weather proofed the coop and the small run attached to the coop, however we have a larger run that our 4 chickens like to be in during the day. The large run has a tree right in the middle of it. For some reason we never thought about how we would keep this area dry. Possibly a large tarp to wrap around the tree like a Christmas tree skirt? We would still need to be able to walk under it to collect eggs and get to their containers, supplies, etc. Any ideas? Preferably something somewhat aesthetic... beggers can't be choosers however this is the first thing you see when you look out our back door.

I’d think unless the whole thing is roofed then anything will get wet if I’m understanding correctly. I mean a tarp would prevent mud but would still be wet. We have pea gravel and pavers where I need to walk also wood chunks.

Why does it need to be dry? Sounds like the chickens already have roofed areas to retreat to if they want the protection

They don't need it dry. As long as they can get out of the weather, they'll be fine.

Photos would help but I agree with the others, not sure why it needs to stay dry? As long as the chickens can access shelter from the weather when they need it, there's no reason to keep a run bone dry.
