Treehouse Chicken Coop

Any thoughts of whether or not they would be able to enter/exit if we cut an opening in the floor vs. an opening on the side?
Cutting an opening in the floor will take up floor space and cause bedding to fall out. Your best course of action is to figure out how to lower the whole thing.

Lowering it is not an option, unfortunately. We don’t have the money or resources to do so. We have thought about deconstructing the whole thing and rebuilding it lower but it’s a lot of work/time as we both work full time, ha.
Can you make a ramp with a sort of shute over the top 1/3 it to discourage jumping?

Exactly...easier said than done.
How hard could it be? 😂😂 A couple of tractors with buckets, or some jack posts and a bit of lumber, even floor jacks and 4x4 posts would work in a pinch.

You could have that thing on the ground in a few hours. 🙄

I do tend to live a little on the edge tho... 😁

Cutting the legs off.....

How would one support the structure while cutting and then lower it without getting ??...
Two skidsteers or two tractors with forks or buckets would probably be the easiest and fastest way.

Or Cribbing or screw jacks or guy wires. Or some combination.

and if that doesn't work, you at least become a finalist for the Darwin Award.
