I am sort of vaguely assuming the o.p. meant that they will *have* hotwire on the fence to prevent climbing as much as possible?
That being the case: raccoons are not big jumpers, but they will go out overhanging tree branches and then down to other branches or the coop rooftop, or even directly to the ground. (How far a drop to the ground would they dare? No clue.)
So basically your issue with trees is, are there any trees whose branches *overhang* your run fence. If there are, then unless they are way up high, I would not feel safe.
While raccoons are *mainly* nocturnal predators, they do come out and hunt in the daytime sometimes, especially in early summer when they have a family to feed.
Good luck, have fun,
Pat
