Trees in run - how to get the roof on

They certainly do. Now I’m wondering how much they move around.
All the more reason to just wrap the netting (or even chicken wire) around the trunks/hang it from the branches, as those materials naturally have some give.

Downside (and I deal with this because I have a weeping willow over my run, so it grows into the run netting each spring) is you're probably going to have to do annual checks/maintenance on the netting/wire and adjust for any tree growth, do pruning or debris clean up, etc.

Yes - hoping that the benefits of having trees there outweighs the downside! Many thanks again!

It's been really complicated as the yard slopes, so we're not dealing with rectangular blocks, But we've kind of managed until the tree part 😂

All input appreciated - as well as any general advice about the run. We did put a skirt around it outside to stop digging too - hwc buried under the soil.

Just want to note that what dedicated chicken-parents you are! very impressive work.

Nylon netting and even chicken wire can be opened up by raccoons, per my experience decades ago! I use a combination of cheap welded 2inch x 4inch fence over chicken wire. It will stop dogs, a mountain lion or wild birds from entering the run/coop. It will need adjusting and regular inspection if installed around trees that are growing and blowing around in storms , but will install easier around obstacles and be more flexible, easier to cut and cheaper than a single layer of heavy hardware cloth. It may not appear as neat or pleasing to the eye. Best wishes for you and your flock.
