Tri-fold egg cartons for shipping.

Are the Tri-fold egg cartons good to use for shipping eggs? I'm sure you would need more protection like bubble wrap and shipping peanuts, but are they better than the regular cartons for shipping. If not for shipping what are they made for?

we just use the cardboard cartons.
