Tri-Sulfa Powder Dose for Hen

Hi everyone, I have a hen who was diagnosed with coccidiosis. Tried Corid but she was still exhibiting symptoms, so I picked up some Tri-Sulfa Powder to try. I'd like to administer a direct dose instead of using in drinking water because my other hens are not showing coccidiosis in their fecals so I'd rather not treat the whole flock with antibiotics. I'm not sure how to convert this dose to an oral/direct administration. Could anyone help me understand how much to give to a 4 lb 3 oz hen? Thank you!

There's only so much that you cut in half in order to be effective. Use a syringe without a needle and draw up the liquid and administer it orally. When dosing orally with the preloaded syringe, cradle the hen in one arm and use your fingers to pull down on her wattles and her mouth will open.
Grab the syringe with your free hand and administer the liquid to her orally 1/4ml at a time and quickly release the wattles so that the hen can swallow the liquid. Dont give her more than 1/4ml at a time, she might aspirate, and if you dont release your fingers from her wattles, she might aspirate.
I recommend that you give her at least 10ml per dosing 3 times a day for 7 days in order to be thoroughly effective.
Have patience when administering the liquid.
