It was suppose to be rainy & nasty all weekend. And it's been beautiful. Go figure!

Took the girls for a stroll yesterday. Sort of timed it when there wasn't anyone around. They filled up on clover. Mowed the backyard. Left the mower out to cool off before putting it away. Only to find four turkey hens perched all over it. They just can't ignore something new in the yard. Also got a little gardening done. Usually have a 5 gallon bucket with me for weeds. Girls love going through the weed bucket & throwing stuff all over. My little helpers!!

My girls are such goobers. Went out to open their coop & they all piled out yapping & flapping. I grabbed Blossom for a hug. Then Marigold. Had to sit down with her. She's so big it's hard to stand there with her in my arms. It's not weight as much as her size. I need to get pics of her with Blossom. I think she's about 3 inches taller.

Decided to give them an early stroll. Before the neighbors are stirring. One jogger drifted by, that was it....they just waved. So the girls have had a fun morning already. That's an important thing for my hens....they like to have fun! They are into anything fun & exciting. Guess they are just party girls!!

What is wrong with me? Walked outside eating a slice of cheese. Daisy immediately did a fly-by & grabbed it out of my hand. I'm going to say....she sure is athletic! Precision flying & incredible eye to beak coordination! And off to the races she went. All turkeys & chickens were in on the chase. Me too! Wasn't sure if she should eat cheese. I did get most of it back. But she choked down a big bite. She is not to be trusted!

No time for video! I was intent upon getting my slice of Munster from her!!

Here's the ironic part of this....none of my dogs steal food. They know better. Its always Daisy! Talking to fellow coonhound owners .... they are renowned counter surfers & food thief's. They look at me odd when I tell them my hound is not food motivated. Then I follow that up with, "But I have this turkey".......

Be careful Ralphie! None of us need to get the virus! I don't think any of our turkey gang has gotten it. Thankfully!

Was watching the early news. Seems a lot of folks have given up social distancing this holiday weekend. Daisy among them. I'm taking the birds for an early stroll again. That worked out nicely yesterday. My turkeys have no concept of social distancing. If Daisy saw a kid she'd run toward them. We haven't had any kids stop to hug her lately. I've been avoiding people.

We have from 4 to 8 food giveaways a day here. Friend was telling me her neighbor & husband each take their cars & go to all of them separately. Each day. Its usually different groups giving away food. I've heard they are far from the only folks doing that. With their unemployment, 600.00 each subsidy and their 1200 each...they are.making more being unemployed. Crazy!!
