Well yesterday I put my drake peanut on CL to rehome. This person contacted me about him so I email her back with a few questions like do have a carrier to take him home how many ducks. And she asked me to txt her instead ok she wanted to come and get him today I was like great. So she shows up with her boyfriend or husband and she has this little cat carrier this not going to work. So I re asked the questions have you have before? She said she didn't but the man that she was with said yes and he was going about he had them when he was a kid. I ask how many do the have now and they kinda look at each other and said 1 is it a female uncomfortable look again she said no. She said the duck was small and I asked his he a pet fo he just lives in your little pond and there was that look again. I said it's not safe for my duck to with another male and they didn't have shelter then I went on telling them if something did happend and you wanted to return him now I dealing will wounds and I don't know what that other bird has. The man said well I have a lot of family members someone would take him if it don't work out so told them no I don't want him hurt and passed around like a old pair of shoes I want him to have a forever home . The women understood the guy on the other hand said he had a lot of ducks and said it would be fine I don't think so and he returned to the car I talked with the women a little while she really wanted him so I kind offer a few babies that are being shipped at end of the month from ideal she wants 3 of them. I let her know have the brooder set up now in a save place and showed her about the milk jug so they don't make a mess and the brewer yeast she said she already had that and don't let them swim in a deep tub becouse of the oil gland and I explained why and I let the know they will be all females I really do believe she will take care of them. She is from the same town as me and she works at middle school that my daughter used to go to. The women remembers. I just think the guy she was with I think he had ducks but he knows nothing about caring and raising them. The women was very nice and felt bad about telling them I just can't let you have him. Now I need some sort opinion should I offer the baby ducks? Some of the ducks are going on CL anyways I am only keeping 2.
