Because circumstances have required me to keep my pair of heritage bronzes confined (i.e not free range) since last fall, at least I *assume* that's the reason, their beaks have gotten pretty long. The end of the upper beak overhangs the lower beak by maybe 1/2" or more. It definitely looks like it needs to be trimmed back.
What is the best way to do this? I would rather not do prolonged turkey wrestling (esp. since the male has just TODAY started strutting and gobbling, FINALLY, and I don't want to discourage him!), so rather than just sitting on one and whipping out the emery board, I thought I'd better ask what people have found to be the best tool/method.
Thanks,
Pat
