trimming feathers on silkies

does anyone trim the feathers around the eyes of their silkies?mine have so many pouffy feathers they can't really see well if you don't, or does anyone have any suggestions? i just trim lightly every couple of weeks when i trim the bottoms of the cochins.hmmmm, maybe i should breed the two together, but then you'd have a pouffy headed pouffy butt chicken that needed a trim. sounds time consuming....

If they can't see, you need to trim or pluck. You can also use hair tape to tie up their crests. It can make an amazing difference in personality.
