Yup, that's right-two of my hens have spurs-Blackie and Phyllis. Phillis only grew out one and Blackie broke one of hers off, so I have only two to trim.
We have a set of very large nail trimmers for our Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs-I have read here nail trimmers are not the best to use on spurs, put these trimmers go through my dogs' thick nails no problem, & I really don't want to spend money on a dremel.
What do you think? Will it work this one time? Will the spurs grow back? I hear the pedipaws don't work so well (noisy, not enough power for large dog nails) & again, I'm trying to use what I have.
I tried the potato thing months ago when we first got the pullets-didn't work...
