Trimming Roosters Spurs

I trim all my roosters spurs at night when they roost. I bring a flashlight they stand up when I brush their bottoms. I use a dog nail trimmer. Sometimes there is a little bit of blood, so I bring the stop blood powder and a moisten q tip and swab some powder. They sit back down and no problems with any of birds in the morning
