Triple yolked duck egg. Could it have hatched?

I've had double yolkers, but never three. The egg was huge. Got me wondering if anyone has ever successfully hatched twins or triplets? Seems it would be impossible but then, we do live in a strange world 😉

What a neat find!

Twins hatching is extremely rare, though it can happen. In most cases, there isn't enough room in the egg for both embryos to develop properly, so either one or both babies die. I'd think triplets hatching would be close to impossible. Not only would it be very cramped in the egg, but the yolks are too small to feed the babies for the entire incubation period.

I was thinking the same. Although the egg was larger than normal, it didn't seem nearly large enough for 3 ducklings in there. Twins actually hatching blows my mind. Nature is amazing, and some times confusing. Haha
