There are breeders here on BYC which are outstanding in their field... The semantics here are in retrospect to those.... There are certain things I look for in a chicken... which are different than what a breeder would look for...
They overlap for the most part.
The reason for shows goes way deeper than the general social aspect... I used to show horses... In all cases personality get into play... but the idea is to show for those aspects that fit the Standard for that breed... Conformation, Color, Characteristics, Coat, or feathers. They all must fall into those categories. Partially to promote the breed and or breeder, Partially to allow individuals to increase their gene pool quality.
One characteristic in horses that I consider bad would be anothers pride and joy...
So Really rudeness isnt the intent. Its emphasis...
