trivia Question

Saying "bad quality" just because it doesn't meet show standards doesn't take I to consideration the other qualities that make it a "good" or "bad" chicken. If it was a chicken that attacked chickens or people - that is a bad quality chicken. If it was a hen that didn't lay it could be a "bad quality" chicken. Judging it on comparison of its appearance compared to "ideal" appearance does not make it bad quality if it wasn't I tended to be show quality. That is all I'm saying. Would you like your kids or yourself to be compared to ideal specimens?
 
He is a silkie, but he is not high quality when it comes to looks. His comb is very large, crest very small and has many feathers that aren't silkied. He's still a nice looking boy, and if bred to the right hens could produce some pretty good offspring!

Congrats on getting him, I hope he proves to be a wonderful, friendly rooster :)
