Trixie the Americana stopped laying, moves painfully, wobbles and no appetite

Oh that’s a harness my daughter had on her to take her on a walk.. not there for medical reasons she has been perfectly hearty up until a week ago

And the harness was only on her for a few minutes.. she doesn’t leave it on her

I just ordered the enroflox and it will arrive next Monday. In the meantime I let her poke around the yard as she seems to enjoy moving (albeit wobbly).. and we are giving her pain pills and helping her eat and drink.. but she is definitely losing weight. Any special mash or concoction I should give besides scrambled egg or wet food?

Wet or dry feed is best and balanced. Small bits of egg, tuna, or ground meat can add more interest and protein.

What is your general location? If you were close to me I would loan you some until you get it. Many probably would do the same.

Thank you everyone for all of your help.. poor Trixie passed Saturday morning before the antibiotics arrived on Monday! She seemed to be getting better too but I think she just wasn’t eating enough despite us doing our best to make her eat and drink..

She was strong and healthy up to a week ago and produced consistent eggs every day

Chickens hide illness very well, so I suppose it's possible she's been fighting it for a while. I agree it does sound like reproductive infection.
