So I know ik posting a bit frequently but I'm so worried! The chick I've talked about in previous posts is now gasping a little? And distress calling. It still can't stand, and now it's barely opening its eyes. It's only 2-3 days old. I wanted to try and give it some water but if it's gasping I'm not sure if I should :( its a bit shaky as well. I put it in a container and somewhat buried it almost to make sure it doesn't roll on its back again because it wants too. I'm so anxious!!!

Edit: It's also lethargic. It struggles to cheep or stand for about 20 seconds then pits it's head down and stays motionless

Is it possible that could have gotten an internal injury like being squashed by others?
Is it eating?
Is its crop full/not emptying?
Is it under a heat lamp?
Is it by itself?
It's not eating yet, crop is okay as far as I can tell, might be squashed inside (my sister found him on his back and cold with mom no where to be seen) it is under a heat lamp, and it has 1 more mate in the same container! I've been closely monitoring its friend and they get along, no bullying of the sort. The chick actually has perked up a bit and I can see that it has a curled foot

Has it eaten anything for the past few days?
if not you may want to give it some yolk or sugar water in its beak with an eyedropper.

Also, have you wrapped the curlerd foot?

Has it been doing this since birth? Could be wry neck but it seems too young for nicen deficiency, but it is possible if it started a day or so after birth. If the birdie has been like this since hatching it is more than likely neurological. I had a duckling do this same thing. I just had to put her to sleep after 6 days of hand feeding, etc. I AM NOT AN EXPERT AT ALL. Just sharing what little experience I have.
