I bought an air circulator incubator and have nothing but trouble with it every since I bought it. I called the company but they said that I had it for to long for them to warranty it. The problem I am having is that most of the chicks are being born with their guts hanging out. I just hatched thirteen eggs and had chicks in wight of them. I had to help all of them hatch out, they could not do it on their on. five of the chicks have there guts hanging out and died the next morning. I have three live chicks but they do not look like they are going to make it. what am I doing wrong? please I need help with this issue. I had the temp right and I put water where the instructions said to at the right time so I dont know what to do.

What do you mean by they have their guts hanging out? Do you mean they haven't absorbed the yolk all the way? Or that they are being born with their intestines out?

A note on humidity, following the directions that come with the incubator is rarely what will actually work for you. Here's a link that explains why.

ok so the next question becomes did you calibrate your thermometer? and/or do you have extras to cross check the Incubator?? I discovered that my Chinese model is running hot. so I was experiencing some of the issues you were. Did the chicks hatch early? like day 19-20? as I understand it that is another indication that the bator may be running a little warm. I am still trying to get a handle on my own bator and am just learning, so I have done quite a bit of reading and these are the things I keep running across

I just looked at the link and I believe my problem was the humidity was too low. They were "shrink wrapped" so I will have to add more water next time. thanks

My bator shows 110 degrees all the time so I know its not right. I bought one and had it at 99 degrees before I put them in and the one that hatched was right on time so I dont think its the temp. It must be the humidity, I followed the instruction manual but its not right so i'm gona have to figure it out. thanks

I have recently found out that because I am at a higher elevation and it's normally dry here I have to run at a higher humidity than most people use. I am still in the trial phase before I say thst it works. Lol
