Trouble in flock

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. If the advice already dispensed here doesn't work in this situation. You may want to consider having her as a house chicken. Silkies accept confinement well.

My friend Arline has had house chickens for more than 30 years & possibly pioneered the idea. Generally just one at a time and usually silkies. She added seramas later on.

There is a thread on BYC, I believe it's called "People with house chickens."

Yes, she keeps getting injured and last time almost died. Plenty of spots and obstacles didn't work..since this happened in her prior flock as well (which is why we adopted her) Do you think something is genetically wrong with her and that's the reason she keeps getting bullied?
Wait, did the OP switch accounts? Are you @Ma Chicken ?
Either way, welcome to both of you! :welcome

I generally have kept bantams separated from larger chickens since I lost an OEG bantam rooster to an attack by a larger rooster many years ago. I do have my Red Pyle OEG bantam rooster in a pen with four hens (Two Calico Princess, Turken, and Golden Polish) as they were brooder mates and get along very well. And Little Buck is definitely the boss of the mini-flock.
