I have a very small flock of 8 week olds birds, various breeds. They live in a separate coop and run from my full grown flock. A friend gave me a 9 week old silkie chick. The 4 other chicks have been bullying the poor silkie so much, that she just hides in the back of one of the nesting boxes. They haven't drawn blood, but she seems really unhappy. I didn't realize young birds could be so mean. Should I just wait and let them work it out? Should I try to remove the meaner chicks temporarily? I'm not sure where I would put them.
