Hoping you are right that she is a true she and just acting cocky, not really being a cockerel.

Here is what her back looks like... Her wings meet together over her back and all her neck feathers are rounded at the tips, not pointed. From the top of her head all the way down through the nape of her neck. She does not have any pointed feathers on her body anywhere.

Today she(thinking positively here) didn't make any of those funny noises and didn't really fly around while out in the yard. It is only the center ridge that is raised, and the very tips of it are still yellow. Mainly it is the base that is that pink color. Actually, she spent the majority of the time in the yard sun bathing. And when put in with the younger chicks(only younger by maybe 2 weeks) she totally ignored them. I am still holding out the hope that she is really just a dominant pullet. You guys are Awesome, thanks heaps!!!

Praying to the pullet goddess helps, right?!

Some Easter Eggers are very difficult to sex.

These first two pictures show two totally different combs and feathering (1 single row pea comb & 1 triple row pea comb - the difference was more pronounced later). Both pullets are now grown and laying eggs for me (I was sure one was a cockerel, but glad she wasn't). These pictures were taken on the same day and both pullets were 7-8 weeks old in the pictures.

Here's all three of my EEs - you can see how different the more solid colored chick is from the two with the more typical EE pullet coloring (dark bodies, gold necks).

This picture shows the same two pullets that are in the first two pics all grown up and looking almost identical (they did not look alike as chicks).
