Knowledge of what I'm doing and help with the future? Sorely lacking.
I would love to meet/chat with other hobby chicken folks in the local (or close to) area. I'm completely new to this and would gladly accept advice, buy/trade chicks, and learn from others as I go to keep things moving along.
I have no idea if anyone is raising anything nearby, but given the list of locales I've seen here in this forum alone, I can't imagine I'm alone here.

PS I will have (because I haven't received them yet (but do have on order) or they're rocking gently in an incubator), to start:
Bobwhite quail (because I love them)
Brahma
Wyandotte
Silkies (cause my daughter in law loves them)
