Troyergals Chat Thread!!!

All we have are Copperheads up in PA. I nearly got bit by one back when I was 10- it was by our pond and I walked, barefoot, within a foot of it, unbeknownst. :ep

Wow. I saw one the other day.

In most of PA, Copperheads are rare, but, in our county, we have so much woodlands, wetlands, and rocks that it's ideal for innumerable to live. :/ They're really cool snakes to observe though. :D
From a distance. :P

Suspect Wyandotte rooster, this would be #3 and the last of the boyish looking Wyandottes.

Hmmmmm....
If he were a definite roo, I'd expect a redder comb by now, but still a suspicion! :idunno

Woah! The snakes we usually have are worm snakes, Copperheads, and rattlesnakes. There are also black snakes but I don't see them as often. I was in a creek one day and I had been standing on the the rocks and all. Then I crouched down on the side of the area and was trying to catch the tadpoles in the area. Well I look up and 12 inches away from my hand was a young Copperhead :)

Yeah, Lacy and the other are WAY redder or at least much bigger so it looks redder.

Lacy. Or as my sister calls him Mr. Lacy.

They're all so calm once you catch them! Mr. Lacy, unnamed and Junior.
