Troyergals Chat Thread!!!

Yeah, hand turning because I can't fit them in my most trusted incubator with the turner, and they are shipped, so I wanted to be as gentle as possible. I am only doijng it three times a day, and it is not always consistent, bit trying to do eight am and then two pm and then eight pm.

Aww, there's gotta be SOMEONE. 7 months to find them!

I had one run-in with an adult copperhead when I was about six. Thank goodness I knew what it was and went and got my grandfather who then chopped his head off with a shovel.

That's good! I'm glad it didn't bite you. I've ran in with a FEW! rattlesnakes (I have a good story for all of them lol), 3 Copperheads, some black snakes, and maybe some other species.

Ugh. So annoying! :barnie Were you planning on hand turning this batch? I'm hand turning 43 right now and I'm only on day 5 and already loosing it. Lol
Farm sitter? This is why we are planning months and no the in advance so we can make arrangements...

Yeah. I was. Lol, I hand turned 32 five times a day for two weeks once. Then I pulled the bads :P

I was wondering if you could help Dan :)
I had to kill a young Copperhead today. It was in our driveway. My mom nearly stepped on it. She would have if I didn't point it out.

I don't recall having heard a sound like that before or if I did I never really paid attention to it. Do you think you could get a video?

I got within four inches of a Copperhead when I was laying in the grass when I was 10. :hide I've been bitten by the typical rat snakes- they may not be poisonous, but, Great Sirius, do those bites hurt!!! :hide

I will try to get one in the morning. :) It started a couple of days ago, but today is the first time I heard it. My sister heard it before me lol!

Yikes! Where do you have rattlesnakes? We don't have any, thank goodness.

Ok. Do that cause I may be totally overthinking this

Its voice could just be maturing at an odd pitch. Think how awkward young adolescent boys sound...

I bet so! My word, did you know he was there? A few months ago we were at a river and I had been standing on a rock in the middle of a separate pooled up area (not to mentionthis rock was small) then after probably 5 to 10 minutes I got off and was trying to catch tadpoles with CC. The rock was 10 to 12 inches In front of my hand. When I looked up, I saw a very young Copperhead bobbing it head on the water, checking me out. I am the only one in the family who thinks it's cool to find snakes lol
